Sixty Minutes
October 1983 - July 1984
BBC One Programmes
'Sixty Minutes' was the teatime current affairs replacement for 'Nationwide'. It kicked off at 5.40pm each weeknight, starting with just under fifteen minutes of news, followed by regional news programmes, which were allocated twenty-two minutes. The final twenty-five minutes of the programme followed a news magazine format, including light-hearted features.
'Sixty Minutes' launched on October 24 1983. The final edition of the programme was broadcast on July 27 1984.
