RTÉ One News
A year-and-a-half after the BBC introduced virtual reality graphics to its television news output, RTÉ News adopted a similar concept for the relaunch of its television service. The new look aired from early September 1994.

Above: weekend 6.01pm and 9pm opening titles/headlines. The 6.01pm programme was a half-hour round-up of home and world news, including a comprehensive sports report. The 9pm bulletin was a slightly trimmed down version of the 6.01pm programme - usually coming in around the fifteen/twenty minute mark.

The launch of the new RTÉ corporate logo, and a new emphasis on corporate branding, necessitated an update to the RTÉ News title sequence in September 1995.
