The title 'ITV Weekend News' was used for news programmes broadcast at the following times:
• Friday late-evening.
• Saturday/Sunday early-evening and late-evening.
These broadcasts used the full opening title sequence, shown below.
The lunchtime updates on Saturday and Sunday were short summaries. The Saturday programme had a short animated opening caption. The Sunday lunchtime update was usually embedded within the Jonathon Dimbleby programme and so had no opening title sequence.
