ITV National News
The 'ITV Nightly News' was the late-night replacement for the axed 'News At Ten'. The programme offered a round-up of the day's news, as well as a look ahead to the stories that were likely to make the headlines the next day. The 'Nightly News' also featured the evening's main sporting headlines and concluded with a quick review of the next day's newspapers. There was also a brief look at the main financial markets.
Dermot Murnaghan was the main presenter on the 'ITV Nightly News' which went out between 11pm and 11.20pm Monday to Friday (although the 11pm start time did vary).
Occasional presenters of the programme included Mark Austin.
The final 'ITV Nightly News' went out on Friday January 19 2001, and was fronted by Dermot Murnaghan.
