The 'Wales Today' aston design was changed twice during this period. The October 1999 design reflected the design used on Network BBC One news programmes. Network news astons were changed in July 2000; 'Wales Today' astons adopted the new design around the same time. In January 2003, the aston design on the national news programmes was revised again; 'Wales Today' took on the new aston template some months later [precise date unknown].
