BBC One National News
On February 16 2004, all BBC One news programmes - with the exception of 'Breakfast' and daytime updates - got new opening titles, bringing the programmes into line with the look introduced on BBC News 24 in December 2003.

In April 2005, at the start of the General Election campaign, the background newsroom image on the 1pm, 6pm, 10pm and weekend bulletins was updated. The new backdrop was much brighter than its predecessor.
